One of the most common questions we get at Curious Puppies is “Are the puppies socialized with children and other dogs?” The answer is YES! Our kids have been playing with the puppies so long; they don’t remember life without dogs. Our own family dogs always know when there is a new friend to play with, just ask them where the puppies are! They get SO excited to make new friends and welcome the little puppies into our home and into a new routine. It’s part of what they do! The dogs love to run around and play with the puppies, keeping them in line, and showing them what’s acceptable and what isn’t. Ever thought a dog could teach a puppy that isn’t theirs? Well, they certainly do!
Our oldest dog is Buster, a 5 year old Boston Terrier and beagle mix, also known as a boggle. He is Uncle Buster to the puppies, and a great friend and teacher! Our middle dog is Georgia, she is a 3 year old American Cocker Spaniel who has had the privilege of motherhood. She makes a great “momma” figure for the puppies, and everyone just loves her. Our last family dog is Dakota, a giant breed Landseer Newfoundland dog who celebrated her first birthday in June 2012, during a party with 12seven year old children who were here for our daughters’ birthday party! And she was as cool as a cucumber. Gotta love the giant breeds…!
Enjoy looking back at some of the fun the puppies have had with our 2 children and our 3 family dogs over the years. You won’t be able to resist a smile!
